You
young guys and girls, might not know that more people die every year from
smoking-related diseases than from AIDS, alcohol, car accidents, fires,
drugs, murders, and suicides COMBINED. Join
Mister Goodmath and the American Cancer Society and take the Smoke-Free
Life Pledge by clicking anywhere on the Smokeout Pledge card to the left.
The Challenge:Cigarettes cost about $2.00 a pack. If a smoker smokes 5 packs a week, how much does he/she spend in one week? In one month? In a year?
List Three things a child could buy with the money spent in a year.
List Three things a teenager could buy with the money spent in a year.
List Three things an adult could buy with the money spent in a year.
