The Challenge:
The following problem was submitted by Christine Longcore of Chicago, Illinois. Mister Goodmath sends a big "thanks" for the submission. Note:Second and third graders, this one is just right for you.
I'm
going to go on a camping trip to Starved Rock State Park not far from Chicago.
I have to use powdered eggs instead of real eggs. The powdered egg package
says that two tablespoons of powdered eggs equals one real egg if mixed
with water. The pancake mix I will bring with me says that I need two eggs
per batch of pancakes. How much of the powdered eggs should I use for this
mix?
The Solution:
Should you decide to ponder the problem and accept
the challenge, communicate your solution to Mister Goodmath at "rooneym@mistergoodmath.org".
Great solutions will be featured on T.V. during WAVE morning announcements.
