The Challenge: The new den for the Florida Panthers is scheduled for completion in time for the 1998 -'99 hockey season. As of the taking of the photographs, the main entrance of the arena is 20 feet above ground level. Throughout the summer, a parade of dump trucks will drop 40,000 loads of dirt to build a mound to the level of the main entrance. Two hundred fifty thousand cubic yards will be imported and an additional 250,000 yards will be dredged from onsite lakes and drainage ponds. Approximately how many cubic yards of dirt must each of the dump trucks carry to accomplish this task?
